Purple Rain 30 Year Anniversary Panel at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture June 25, 2014 #PR30Harlem

Buzzworthy Digital CEO and founder of soulhead.com, Ron Worthy, appeared on an esteemed panel last night at the Schomburgh Center in Harlem. Along with Ebony.com’s Miles Marshall Lewis and scholar Zaheer Ali, Ron discussed the impact of Prince’s epic Purple Rain movie and album of the same name. The movie, which celebrates its 30th anniversary next month, was shown after the engaging discussion. Journalist Greg Tate’s Burnt Sugar Arkestra also performed the Purple Rain album in its entirety to a packed house. Check out the video below in case you missed it.
